The Hunger Games: District 4 Chariot Ride Outfit

In anticipation of the Capitol Couture costume contests, I started designing some fun stuff for the fishing district! This outfit features seashells and seaweed. The seaweed crown is supposed to be reminiscent of the laurel wreaths worn by the Ancient Romans (the Hunger Games were supposed to be based off the ancient gladiatorial games!). This outfit features the seaweed heels I submitted for the first Capitol Couture contest.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to include all of the things that inspired me into this collection such as foam, octopi, fins, eels, pearls, seaglass, anglerfish, shark teeth and mermaids. But you guys can certainly be inspired by them too-- send me a link of your work!

I'm also learning how to use photoshop (these are originally hand-drawn), so if any of you photoshop-masters is willing to become my sensei, hit me up.
